San Diego, CA – The Santa Clara Broncos lit up Jenny Craig Pavilion with 63.5% field goal shooting en route to an 85-73 victory over the University of San Diego Toreros on January 24, 2026, in West Coast Conference action.


USD trailed 39-29 at halftime after Santa Clara shot 65.2% from the floor and 100% from the line in the first half, forcing 10 Torero turnovers while committing just four themselves. The Broncos pulled further ahead in the second (43-44 points), holding USD to 43.2% shooting despite the Toreros 17 offensive rebounds and 26 points off 21 Santa Clara turnovers.

Adrian McIntyre  (#2) led USD with a season-high 20 points on 8-10 shooting and 6 rebounds, while Ty-Laur Johnson (#5) added 19 points, 4 steals, but faced constant double teams all night. Santa Clara's Christian Hammond (#1) topped the Broncos with 16 points (4/6 threes), backed by Bukky Oboye (#12) (16 points, perfect 6/6 FG) and Elijah Mahib also added 12.


USD (9-13, 3-6 WCC) heads to Pepperdine on January 28 seeking a rebound win.
